Our History
I started Hope Realty & Development in the spring of 2012. I previously worked with another real estate company and decided to go out on my own. I knew I wanted to name my company after Hope, my precious black lab. I got Hope during my sophomore year at Auburn University and she lived to be 16 1/2 years old. We grew up together in so many ways.
I decided to name my company after her primarily because I just wanted to keep a small piece of her with me at all times! I enjoyed working on my logo and seeing her silhouette on all of my branding and documents. It just felt like having a piece of home with me even when I was at work.
I was on my own for a few years and decided that I liked it that way, but in late 2018 Pat Reeves asked if he could sell land for me. This is still one of the single biggest “God Things” in my life! I had just taken on a big client, who asked me to sell 25 parcels of land for him! Pat is a Forester and has also had his real estate license for over 30 years. I was ecstatic to have him join me! It came at such an ideal time… I needed him!
Pat truly takes care of his clients and is such an expert at valuing timber, easements, access… and all of the other things necessary to be a good land man!
In late 2022, Charles Kelley decided to leave his job at the bank as a loan officer and pursue a career in real estate. Charles is great at getting me outside of my comfort zone! He takes excellent care of his clients and has an incredible work ethic! His background in banking gives him such an expertise in advising his clients.
That same year, I added Judy Lambeth. Judy has a very long history in real estate, but primarily takes care of us with her bookkeeping skills! I needed her! She keeps us all in line and freed up so much time for me to focus on my clients!
We are a small family, by choice, but we all truly love what we do! I am so proud to have a team that puts PEOPLE and relationships first!
This business has allowed me to meet so many new people that I may have never otherwise known. I love that. Every day is different and a challenge. I love coming up with new ways to solve problems and think outside the box. I love the photography, the marketing, and all of the other ways that real estate allows me to be creative. I truly cannot imagine any other line of work!
